Prototypical prepositions are [p en/to], [p en/until], [p en/till], [p en/up_to], and [p en/through]:

Note that simple [ss Time] is used with verbs like <i>end</i> and <i>finish</i>: the event directly described by the PP is the ending, not the thing that ended.
